Welcome to agatha's appeal and the story of our very special little girl. There are many other babies and families out there who like us, never thought it could happen to them

There are many other families out there who, like us, thought that this could never happen to them.
Agatha’s Appeal aims to help people like us who find themselves in the most unthinkable of situations.

82,000 babies in the UK are born prematurely or sick every year - 22,000 of those need intensive care, often for weeks or months. The care they receive immediately after birth has a profound impact on their chances of survival and future quality of life.

St George’s Hosptial looks after babies from all over the South East of England. It is a ‘regional centre of excellence’ which means babies born at other hospitals which unfortunately cannot provide the level of expertise and equipment needed are transferred to St George’s.

Agatha Maud Holloway is the reality behind the statistics.
When she was born almost 3 months early she took the last available incubator in the unit at St. George's and would not have survived the night without it.

This year, we challenge you to help us raise £25,000 to buy an incubator for the hospital that saved Agatha's life, and give other babies the same fighting chance that Agatha received.

Be creative, be involved...
- What do you already enjoy doing that could raise money? Knitting, walking, cooking, karaoke
- Is there anything you have always wanted to challenge yourself to do that people could sponsor you for? a marathon or run, a climb
- Could you hold a fund-raising event? An auction, a party, a murder-mystery or dinner party
- Do you know friends, family or colleagues who would support the Appeal by doing any of the above or sponsoring any of the events that are being held?

If you need any further reason to get involved, then please, read Agatha's story.
